THE FOREVER GIVER

Small eyes with a smiling face,

Wrinkles a little but no sadness traced

You can see her all and all and utmost through

Which shows her purity, ever thought of it all through?

Her ocean soul draws out all sadness and makes me a happy whole,

She sweeps out every nightmare; every mole,

Ever realized her importance while she supports you through the goal?

She replenishes the happiness and gives strength to fight bad times,

You take for granted but she never does the same to you mankind.

She is grateful for whatever she gets,

Gets touched by small gestures and tokens of happiness,

Her demands are not huge just our little time,

We can gift her a lot of presents but she needs happier shines,

She never tells anyone when she feels broken,

Handles everything by herself; never opens up.

You will get to know her habits and sweetness if you stay with her,

She never complained about the stuff she suffered,

Always looks forward to a better future,

if couldn’t get something will not be a regret; couldn’t spend enough time with me would forever make her upset,

We feel that she has grown wrinkles so she cannot keep up the pace,

Now also she knows Math and Hindi better than me if we race,

She has never been arrogant all through the cycle,

Starting from whether it was my birth or till now she has been my eternity supportive system.

She can still handle everything today,

She is standing before me for everything,

Even though at times she might be invisible, but her values and smiles are in me and cannot be erased.

So, I stand there with my mum smiling at me,

A million worries in mind but still she stands there looking so carefree.
